Ordered to go menudo. FYI...they have a small salsa bar. My order was ready in 15 minutes. They give u all the condiments like the cilantro and onions and lemon slices and oregano and powdered chile. And of course tortillas of ur choice corn or flour. When I got home the menudo was still hot so I didn't have to warm it up. Well, the taste was consistent like previous menudo orders so I was happy with the order.this restaurant has always been consistent in delivering good tasting Mexican food. I highly recommend it as it's always good food and good service.

The food is amazing. My go to for Red tacos (birria tacos). Beers are huge and cold. Love this place honestly.

This is my first time here and this chicken bowl doesn't disappoint me. I need to come again and check more things in the menu .

Perfect Mexican restaurant that delivers consistently with flavor, outstanding customer service, and cleanliness. Any time I get a craving for great Mexican food, I turn to Ponchos located in Rancho San Diego. The authenticity is what I love. The cooks bring forth the best Mexican-food experience. I am into fresh, hot, well-seasoned food with just the right spices not killing the flavor with too much salt that a lot of restaurants seem to enjoy doing. Ponchos has the perfect balance of seasoning with all of their dishes. I was celebrating Cinco De Mayo weekend here in San Diego at Ponchos Mexican food where the Mexican culture is celebrated and appreciated! If you live in East County, in San Diego County, or if you are visiting San Diego, make sure you stop at Ponchos because you will love it! Happy Cinco De Mayo!

We have been coming to Pancho's in Rancho since they have opened and to their El Cajon location even longer. Their food is delicious. However, the portions/sizes of their burritos have been getting smaller while prices have been rising. 2 pollo asado burritos and one order of rice is now $30. Finding it harder and harder to justify continued patronage. I do hope they can find a way to move back towards their original portion sizes. We love supporting local business.

After Good Friday service we stopped on our way home to try this place! The Chile Rellano burrito was the Friday special. My husband ordered it and after I tried it I regretted not getting it myself! It's excellent, tortilla fresh, thin but sturdy , nice Chile Rellano inside with very tasty refried beans with an abundant amount of cheese! My meal was the Surf & Turf , I didn't have the Chipotle in it because I'm not a fan. There was a good amount of the carne and shrimp. Very filling but not something I would order again . The carne was more of a roast texture and the shrimp had no flavor. The salsas were all good but medium was our favorite by far, very flavorful and the right amount of heat. The staff were very friendly and it was clean . its not a full service as we expected , its more of a fast food where they bring it to your table after ordering.

The food tastes good, and the staff working in the front were nice on both times I went. I have tried the carne asada fries, adobada tacos, carne asada tacos, chicken tacos, birria tacos, and rice. I would recommend everything except the birria tacos. Everything else was yummy and the meat was seasoned well. They have some IPAs on tap, but when I tried one it was a bit flat. The dining room setting is nice, as it has many tables and a little salsa bar. I would recommend this be a stop if you happen to be in the area.
